John Oeth's classical guitar video game covers

John Oeth has some of the best classical guitar video game covers that I’ve found, with an enormous library of Guitar Pro tabs and PDFs on his Patreon Account.

John Oeth

I originally found him by his YouTube Channel while browsing Final Fantasy covers and was completely blown away by the quality of playing and the massive library of music. He’s also on Spotify for casual listening.

Compared to most of the other video game arrangements I’ve been watching, he arranges in such a way to favor open strings with very clean playing, while still managing to keep the song in its original key (sometimes requiring some interesting tunings!). The arrangements are as impressive as the guitar playing. Especially on a classical guitar, these just sound better to me.

He has a large library of Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger/Cross songs, as well as some other popular game and anime themes.

You can add these tabs to your PrintTabs collection by subscribing to his Patreon and importing the Google Drive folder!

Happy playing!
